Greetings from the BSD Spec Department!

From L to R: Scott Mize, CCS, Susan McClendon, CCS, Will Mosher, Michelle Rivero Nott, Brandon Tutman, Joe Moreland, PE
BSD's Spec Department would like to introduce our newest member, Joe Moreland, as well as reintroduce ourselves to you. If you've had a question about content in SpecLink over the past several years, chances are you talked to and/or exchanged emails with one of us. We appreciate your questions and feedback as they help make SpecLink as good as it is.
Joe is an electrical engineer, a graduate of Georgia Tech, and licensed as a professional engineer in 7 states. He has 15 years of experience preparing electrical design and construction documents. We expect his expertise to be very beneficial and welcome him to our spec writing team.
Scott Mize is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a B.S. in Architecture and has specialized in construction specifications for many years. Most of his previous career was spent at Greenberg Farrow, an Atlanta-based A/E with offices in several other cities.
Michelle Rivero joined the Spec Department in the late summer of 2008 as our newest Research Assistant. Michelle is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Brandon Tutman has one more year to go to get his Bachelor of Architecture at Southern Polytechnic State University ― a 5-year program. He joined the Spec Department in early summer of 2008.
Will Mosher joined the Spec Department in the summer of 2007. He holds a BA in English with a focus on writing from the University of Georgia and also edits LinkLine.
The Spec Department is headed by Susan McClendon, who is also the Executive Vice President of BSD. She joined the firm in 1995 and is Project Manager for BSD SpecLink. Ms. McClendon was also Project Manager for the original PerSpective product, which was developed by BSD for a joint venture between CSI and DBIA. Today she manages the ongoing data development and updating of BSD SpecLink and SpecLink-E, as well as our newest product, LinkMan-E.
A registered architect since 1975, Ms. McClendon is very knowledgeable about software design and is an invaluable participant in the planning and implementation of BSD’s products for the A/E/C market. She is an acknowledged expert in documentation for the design-build process and has published numerous articles on the topic, including several in CSI’s Construction Specifier magazine. She is also expert in the design, implementation, and maintenance of microcomputer databases.
Also contributing to the Specification Department is Robert Paul Dean, AIA, CCS, President of BSD. Mr. Dean originated SpecLink at BSD after many years of developing automated specifications for McGraw-Hill/Sweets (SweetSpec), Heery International, Atlanta, and the American Institute of Architects (SpecSystem).
Feel free to contact the Spec Department by phone at (888) BSD-SOFT or (888) 273-7638, or via email ToSpecwriters@bsdsoftlink.com.
We look forward to hearing from you!
