LIVE WEB DEMO
BSD CostLink®/AE How it works

Below, you’ll see a graphic presentation that shows how CostLink/AE works. For more details, check out the links to the left. Or better yet, schedule a live demo using the link to the right.

CostLink/AE has a simple and intuitive interface and a fast and powerful computational engine with flexible reporting capabilities. Its front-end Building Cost Model interface makes building an early estimate quick and easy, while the built-in RS Means cost databases make customizing the estimate as simple as drag-and-drop. It is sold on an annual subscription basis, with annual data updating.

<<< Create a new project using one of the parametric cost models

<<< Insert the gross building size and perimeter...

<<< Then select a frame and exterior closure type...

<<< And adjust any needed model parameters.

<<< Select model additives to refine the estimate.

<<< To complete the preliminary estimate, select location and adjust sales tax and markups.

<<< The preliminary estimate is finished!

<<< Click on any building element to see detail of assemblies and quantities.

<<< Click on item form for sheet panel to see further model detail.

<<< You can change quantities to adjust model to your specific project.

<<< You can also open the Assemblies database to select an alternative to a model assembly.

<<< Then drag and drop a selected alternative assembly into your project.

<<< You can print a summary or detailed estimate at any time.

<<< It's really that simple!

<<< CostLink/AE has many other features. For example, you can attach a note to any item in the cost estimate—including pictures!

<<< Other BSD CostLink features:

  • Link dynamically to quantities in Excel spreadsheets — CostLink values update automatically as spreadsheet changes.
  • Modify standard reports in CostLink/AE — or use Crystal Reports to totally customize.
  • Export cost estimates to PDF, Excel, or Word formats—then e-mail to other team members.
